Chairman and CEO
Peter is a longtime operator who’s committed and keenly positioned to lead and scale companies for significant growth. Before joining DemandScience, Peter served as General Partner at Optum Ventures. Peter was also the chief executive officer of UpCurve, Inc., part of New Media Investment Group and Fortress. Additionally, Peter held the roles of the chief executive officer and president of OnForce, Inc., later acquired by Adecco Global. Prior, Peter was president of PC Connection, Inc. and has held senior executive positions in both sales and operations. He has served on several venture and private equity boards of directors. Peter is currently a board member for MKS Instruments (NASDAQ:MKSI), where he also serves on the Audit Committee. Peter holds a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

A respected expert and pioneer in demand generation, data driven strategies, and the development of web applications, Melissa has an impressive track record of delivering online innovations and leading successful web application development. She has more than a decade of in-the-trenches experience in the industry, including executive leadership positions at Ziff Davis, Connexus Media, IDG, as well as former Chairman of the board of Demand Science. Throughout her career, Melissa has taken an approach that balances team leadership with hands-on execution, a formula that has served her and her extended team well.

Barry is a global entrepreneur-investor focused on data, demand generation, and analytics businesses. Prior to co-founding DemandScience and PureB2B, Barry founded, operated and sold businesses that focused on demand generation, data, analytics and digital targeting. Barry’s current focus is on global expansion strategies and investments targeting Asia/Pacific and Europe. Barry’s extensive background in the data, analytics, and demand generation markets gives him a unique perspective to shape the vision for DemandScience.
Omar is a product-focused CEO with a proven track record of growing and guiding top-tier technology software companies through rapid phases of growth. In addition to the Demand Science Board of Directors, Omar currently serves on the Board of Directors at Placester and Datica, where he is also Executive Chairman and advises the company on product strategy, messaging and positioning. Omar is widely known for his 14-year leadership of software company Imprivata, including taking the company public in 2014, raising over $66 million in the IPO. He was named an Ernst and Young 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year for his extraordinary success in innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment. With nearly 30 years in executive leadership roles, Omar’s expertise growing software technology companies includes: Founder and CEO of AnchorSilk, GM of Numega Labs for Compuware, and VP of Marketing and Business Development for Open Environment Corporation.
