DemandScience Partners with Alzheimer’s Association for 2021 Charitable Donation
Every holiday season, DemandScience embraces the season and spirit of giving by donating to a variety of charities around the globe. It’s a perfect opportunity for us to further our organization’s goals, improve employee engagement, and strengthen our community all at once!
This year was no different. And just like last year, we encouraged our top performing sales rep, Tim Christiansen – who has been with the company since our startup days – to choose the charity to receive our largest donation.
This year’s recipient? The Alzheimer’s Association, the largest non-profit funder of Alzheimer’s disease research. The organization was founded 40+ years ago in Chicago, and now has chapters in communities across the nation. Its mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
“Alzheimer’s disease and various forms of dementia affect so many of our loved ones as they age,” said Tim, when asked why he chose this worthy charity. “These diseases are often slow to progress causing many challenges for individuals, families, and communities over a long period of time. The Alzheimer’s Association offers a multitude of educational, financial, and emotional supports while additionally continuing to fund much needed research. As Alzheimer’s disease and dementia has impacted my own family and friends – and potentially some of your own – I hope you’ll join me in supporting their mission this holiday season. Their programs continue to be very needed, especially in a time when individuals and families have even less access to support for their aging family members than before.”
We started this tradition shortly in the early days of the company, as we began to shape and formalize our corporate values. In fact, “BeHuman” became our first established core value. “As a team, we felt the B2B world was a bit cold and a little boring,” recalled Chris Rack, DemandScience’s Chief Revenue Officer. “We wanted to bring more value than just sending our clients a branded water bottle or gift basket, while simultaneously rewarding one of our dedicated employees for their work and effort.”
As we close out another record-breaking year for DemandScience, the ideas of #BeHuman and #InspireToAct remain core, active values for our company. Supporting the communities in which we live and work is important to all of us, and we gain just as much from giving as everyone else.
With our company goals already in place for 2022, we’ll continue to grow and foster the people-first attitude that has already helped us achieve so much.
